The announced starting toolkit
Crafting, gathering, farming, cooking and base building are named in Steam’s initial Early Access scope. This guide focuses on what production supports and how material collection differs from learning recipes. Life skills compares the activities, and Early Access separates initial scope from later plans.
Owning materials and knowing a recipe are different
The fact sheet names leveling, skills, blueprints and recipes as parts of crafting progression. Materials are the inputs you collect; a recipe or blueprint is knowledge associated with making an output. The description does not give a station list or ingredient quantities. Follow resources for the collection side.
From materials to useful things
Steam names combat equipment, potions, food, tools and trinkets as outputs of gathered materials. It separately describes buildings, furniture, plants and decoration in the estate. The table organizes those purposes without assigning an undocumented ingredient to a recipe.
| Output or purpose | Role in the announced game |
|---|---|
| Combat equipment | Forging equipment for the fighting style you develop. |
| Potions and food | Making supplies that accompany your adventures. |
| Tools and trinkets | Creating other useful items named in the store description. |
| Buildings and furnishings | Customizing a personal space with structures, furniture and decoration. |

Give your workshop a place in the estate
The estate combines customization with preparation. The fact sheet describes houses, buildings and objects that can be placed in a creative area, with uses that include improving skills and crafting items. This puts your workshop within a space you can shape. It is related to town restoration, where gathering and crafting professions help residents rebuild, but the two are not interchangeable. Visit the estate for personal-space examples.

Recipes, blueprints and practical guides
To follow a crafting procedure, identify the output, check the required recipe or blueprint, then verify the workstation, materials and unlock conditions in the same game version. The overview currently establishes the output categories and the role of learned knowledge; it does not supply the remaining recipe fields.
- Output identity: use the exact item or structure name, not a similar-looking icon.
- Recipe knowledge: distinguish learning a recipe from owning its inputs.
- Execution requirements: station, quantities and unlock conditions remain unverified until documented together.
Farming and cooking belong to the initial scope
Farming and cooking are both in the announced initial scope, and food is among the store’s production categories. That connects growing activities with preparation at a system level; it does not establish which crop belongs in which dish. Life skills covers farming’s place beside the estate.
