What can you customize?
The current official description names hairstyles, beards, facial features and colors among the character-creation options. The important distinction is the range of visual choices, rather than a confirmed count for each category. “Dozens of options” across the editor does not mean dozens of hairstyles, and a promotional screenshot does not establish every option in the release build.
- Hair and facial-hair choices help define the character’s silhouette.
- Facial features and color choices contribute to the appearance.
- Exact preset counts and post-creation editing rules are not specified by the current description.
A look at the character editor
The published editor image pairs a live character preview on the left with controls on the right. Visible labels include Hair, Facial Hair and Extras, with Skin and Clothes color controls below. Arrows beside the selection fields indicate choices within the illustrated editor; the displayed numbers are current selections, not a count of all available options. A name field and Create button appear at the bottom. Open the full image to compare these areas. This describes the official promotional interface, not a save we have played.

Appearance, equipment and classes
Equipment and combat abilities belong to progression. Steam describes weapons and skills improved through leveling, items and rescued villagers, with classes that can be changed. Choosing a face or hair color should therefore not be treated as choosing a class. Character progression separates those systems, and the weapons guide covers the role of equipment.
Can you change your appearance later?
The sources checked for this guide do not establish a complete post-creation appearance-editing procedure or its cost. The same applies to importing custom portraits and sharing character presets. We will document those actions once they are visible in a verified build. You can still use the current official editor image to understand the announced visual direction without assuming those extra features.
